The Slovenian Handball team lost against Spain 33:26 last night in the final match of the preliminaries.
The Slovenes played better in the first half of the game, with the half-time result of 13:14 in their favour. In the second half the young Slovenian team could not keep up with the pressure from Spain, and concluded the match with seven goals behind.
However, the team had already secured its presence in the second round of the competition when winning against Paraguay this Thursday. Four teams out of six in each group will play in the eight-finals.
As the weakest qualifying team of group A, Slovenia will play with No. 1 of group B, that is, Sweden. This match will take place on Sunday, December 10, at 20:30.
