Slovenia lost decisively to Germany in the Women’s World Cup qualifier game played at Domzale’s Športni Park Tuesday afternoon. The home team were outplayed by every metric, managing only one attempted goal to Germany’s 31. The Slovene’s also committed 10 fouls, twice as many as the Germans.
Germany now leads Group 5 with 15 points, having played six games, with Iceland in second place having 13 points and a game in hand. Meanwhile, Slovenia has three points from five games, and is in fourth place ahead of the Faroe Islands, with no points and five games played
However, the next game favours Slovenia, as they’ll play the Faroe Islands on June 7.
