STA, 15 June 2018 - Columbian cyclist Rigoberto Uran (Drapac Cannondale) won the third stage of the 25th Tour of Slovenia, which ended with a climb to Celje Castle after 175.5 kilometres. The Columbian crossed the finish line ahead of South African Daryl Impey in second and Slovenian Primož Roglič in third place to take the overall lead.
STA, 15 June 2018 - Cherry picking seems to be a popular activity for Slovenians these days and the number of people falling off cherry trees is already twice as high as in the whole of last year. The number of cherry trees in intensive orchards has almost tripled in the last fifteen years.
STA, 15 June 2018 - A year after the arbitration tribunal announced its decision on the course of the Slovenian-Croatian border, the two countries remain at loggerheads over the border. Croatia claims it had withdrawn from the arbitration process and wants a bilateral agreement, while Slovenia insists that the EU-sponsored arbitration decision must be honoured.

The new overall leader of the five-stage race is the Australian Benjamin Hill (Ljubljana Gusto Xaurum).
STA, 14 June 2018 - The operators of the ports in Slovenia's Koper and China's Ningbo have signed an agreement on cooperation to increase trade between China and central and eastern Europe. Slovenia's Luka Koper thus officially became a part of the China-led initiative for the new Silk Road.
STA, 14 June 2018 - The at-risk-of-poverty rate in Slovenia decreased by 0.6 percentage points to 13.3% in 2017, show data released by the Statistics Office on Thursday. The average annual net disposable household income increased by EUR 701 over the previous year to EUR 22,256 and the Gini coefficient decreased by 0.7 points to 23.7.
STA, 13 June 2018 - Workers from Croatia will apparently get free access to the Slovenian labour market on 1 July because the parliament was dissolved before discussing the outgoing government's proposal to extend the restrictions.
STA, 13 June 2018 - Companies in Slovenia can from now on submit electronic applications for a single permit for residence and work of foreigners in Slovenia via the business portal SPOT. The Public Administration Ministry says that this will save time and money both for the applicants and administrative units.
