STA, 13 July 2018 - Slovenia-based air carrier Adria Airways, which was acquired by the German 4K Invest in early 2016, has expanded its fleet with six new Saab 2000 planes, which puts the total number of its planes to 21, the highest ever. The six 50-seat airliners will be on lease from the US company Jetstream Aviation Capital.

STA, 12 July 2018 - Prime Minister Miro Cerar said after the last day of talks on defence spending at the NATO summit that Slovenia had made no new promises but was sticking to its commitments from the past. "Our commitments remain the same. We are economical and reliable. We promise only what we can actually keep," he said. 

STA, 12 July 2018 - Democrat (SDS) leader Janez Janša will launch informal exploratory talks with prospective coalition partners after he was given a week by President Borut Pahor to decide whether to accept the nomination for prime minister-designate as the winner of the general election. 

STA, 12 July 2018 - The European Commission's summer forecast, released on Thursday, projects Slovenia's GDP to grow by 4.4% in 2018 and by 3.5% in 2019, a downgrade of 0.2 and 0.1 percentage points respectively compared to the February forecast. 

STA, 11 July 2018 - Slovenian and Croatian police busted a ring of alleged people smugglers from the two countries. The group had helped more than 45 people cross illegally from Croatia to Italy via Slovenia since February. Nine have been charged, six in Croatia and three in Slovenia.
