STA, 10 August 2018 - The Left and five parties involved in coalition talks have initialled a cooperation protocol paving the way for the appointment of Marjan Šarec as prime minister-designate and for the formation of a minority government. The Left (Levica) will also provide votes for Social Democrat (SD) president Dejan Židan to become parliamentary speaker.
The new flights will leave Moscow at 09:05 and arrive in Ljubljana at 10:20, with the return run leaving for Moscow at 11:30 and arriving at 16:40.
STA, 10 August 2018 - The biggest problems of young people in Slovenia are unemployment and precarious work forms, the trade union Mladi Plus (Youth Plus) said on Friday ahead of International Youth Day, observed on Sunday. The Labour Ministry said employment of youth remained its priority.
STA, 10 August 2018 - A higher court has sentenced former priest Franc Klopčič to four years in prison for sexual abuse of an eight-year-old girl, the newspapers Delo and Slovenske Novice reported on Friday. The priest's lawyer announced an appeal to the Supreme Court.

STA, 9 August 2018 - Tugo Štiglic, a director and screenwriter, whose list of films includes the iconic 1980s coming-of-age duology Poletje v Školjki (A Summer in a Sea Shell), has been picked to receive the Badjura life-time achievement award at the outset of the 21st Slovenian Film Festival in September.
STA, 8 August 2018 - Trade unions and employers in the hospitality sector signed a new collective bargaining agreement on Wednesday. The deal, which has averted a strike at the peak of the tourist season, secures a yearly holiday bonus of EUR 1,000 for workers and tackles overtime.
