STA, 12 September 2018 - Andrej Šiško, the self-styled leader of a local militia, was brought into custody again on Wednesday morning after a panel of judges reversed the investigating magistrate's decision to let him walk free. Šiško's lawyer Viktor Osim told the STA he would appeal.

The forum has "fulfilled the expectations of everyone who has worked hard on it," Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar said as the forum wrapped up.

STA, 11 September 2018 - The Supreme Court has found that Milko Novič's right to defence in his trial for the 2014 murder of Chemistry Institute boss Janko Jamnik was violated, suspending his 25-year prison sentence. 

STA, 10 September 2018 - The Bled Strategic Forum (BSF), Slovenia's biggest foreign policy event, kicked off at the lakeside resort of Bled on Monday with a series of debates focused on looming divides that have the potential to undermine the existing world order. The prevailing tone of the debates was positive. 

STA, 11 September 2018 - After the Constitutional Court quashed the retroactive impact of the 2011 act on the seizure of unlawfully gained assets in July, the prosecution has withdrawn several forfeiture cases, including against former Maribor Mayor Franc Kangler, with media reports saying Janez Janša is among those who are to be let off the hook. 

STA, 11 September 2018 - Employers in Slovenia are quite optimistic about hiring in the final quarter of the year, with as many as 20% of them planning to increase their staff. The prospects for hiring in Slovenia are thus among the most promising in the region and the world, the latest survey by temping agency Manpower shows.
