Boris Orel (1903–1962) worked in banks for two decades before being sent to the Dachau Concentration Camp. After the war he became a director of the Ethnographic Museum in Ljubljana, where we worked until his death in 1962, researching folk customs and material culture, leading teams into the field to collect images and objects. The photographs shown here are all from Wikimedia, with many having being scanned and catalogued by the museum, which can be found not far from Metelkova and is well worth a visit.
