Kinodvor has organised a short season of classic films that will be shown from Monday to Thursday at 21:00 this week in Ljubljana’s Congress Square (Kongresni trg), with all screenings free.
The schedule starts tonight, Monday August 27, with the classic Slovene film Na svoji zemlji. Tuesday there’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, in a new 4K digital restoration – which could make a magical night under the stars. Wednesday there’s Bergman’s Summer with Monika, and you can thrill to the exploitation cinema style trailer made for the original US release of this arthouse classic in 1953, shown below. The series then ends on Thursday, with D. A. Pennebaker “really groovy” documentary from the 60s, Monterey Pop, which also has great trailer.
