Yesterday, in the heart of Ljubljana, the Ravnikar Art Gallery was opened with the exhibition named “Something ending, something beginning”. The gallery is located at No 10a Presernova st. next to the Cankar Center, or opposite the US Embassy.

R-space is Piera Ravnikar’s, its founder, a dream come true, the result of tireless planning, searching and believing over the years, thus co-creating , building and supporting Slovenian contemporary arts scene. Being an Artistic Programme Manager of the Centre for urban culture Kino Šiška for almost 10 years, Piera has collaborated with many artists and collectives working in the area of visual arts and culture and she has initiated many new concepts, like Dobra Vaga Gallery, which quickly became one of Ljubljana’s most esteemed spaces for local art and conversation.

The selling exhibition SOMETHING ENDING, SOMETHING BEGINNING is an exhibition inspired by the potential of a line, and the creative paths it takes to inspire the beginning of the artist’s journey. If you read between each line, you will find a story - one with a pulse, and a vision that frees perception. Six emerging and established artists, Nevena Aleksovski, Ivana Bajec, Nina Čelhar, Mina Fina, Maja Babič Košir and Helena Tahir, share their visual stories, exploring the line in diverse ways. You may attend the exhibition until January 2018.
