The complex, which is to be finished by 1 July, will serve as the biggest warehouse of the Swiss pharma giant Novartis and one of its top three globally. It will be Kuehne + Nagel's biggest pharma warehouse.
Logistic solutions for pharmaceutical and medical industry are a major leverage of growth for the Switzerland-based multinational Kuehne + Nagel, while the renewed Good Distribution Practices Certification enables it to enhance its position in the field in Slovenia, the company said.
The 90,000-square-metre complex will provide almost 40,000 square metres of storage space. The construction, managed by Kuehne + Nagel in cooperation with Austrian developer Invest4See, was launched in autumn last year. The project is valued at almost EUR 50m.
Kuehne + Nagel Slovenija will also move there its other business from the premises in the Šentvid borough of Ljubljana. Adjacent to the new complex is a plot where the company may also provide logistic services for other pharmaceutical companies.
